"You've now crossed into The Twilight Zone..."
Del Ray Artisans hosted an October show titled “The Twilight Zone”, focusing on works inspired by the TV show The Twilight Zone. I entered 10 pieces, including miniatures, seaside towns, and paintings. Additionally, I built an installation. Built as a voting booth, the installation asks the question “What would happen if Russia were able to so manipulate the United States election, that there was only a single candidate on the ballot?” Evoking the questions the original Twilight Zone asked about independence, the responsibility to vote, and the rights we choose or choose not to exercise in the United States, the voting booth shows the voter what it looks like to cross into The Twilight Zone, and what that picture of our country looks like.
